World premiere of certified WIM system for weighing control of high-speed vehicles - UnicamWIM

Company CAMEA Ltd. introduced on the show Intertraffic 2011 in Istanbul to market a world premiere type of certified scales system UnicamWIM for weighing control of high-speed vehicles.

Certificate type approval was issued by the Czech Metrological Institute (CMI) of 6/5/2011 under the name TCM 128/11 – 4831 with a validity period to 5/5/2021 in cooperation with the Czech company WIM TRADE SERVICE.

Date 1/1/2011 we, like other manufacturers in the market, legally obtained from the CMI Certificate of verification setting the gauge for weight installed before the end of 2010. This certificate is valid, as with other suppliers, only for one year and only confirms the accuracy of a particular installed equipment with the above condition commissioning by 31/12/2010. A major novelty of our type-approved system, compared to all others, is the fact that the Type approval certificate is a document that allows you to install UnicamWIM system all around the Czech Republic. The law then implies that the following certified scales can initiate administrative proceedings prosecution for carriers and drivers of overloaded trucks.

UnicamWIM system is unique of its kind, which can consider the move and automatically take an image of all overloaded trucks over a specified limit. These vehicles are very dangerous in the transport flow. Due to the high weight is significantly reduced their maneuverability and have longer braking distances. UnicamWIM system does not need, as well as stationary radar, human operators. It works 24 hours a day and their operation is not affected by weather or lighting conditions. They consist of piezoelectric pressure sensors, inductive loops located directly in the road surface and recording equipment. While driving the vehicle the system finds its individual axle load, total weight and speed. If the weight exceeds the limit, the camera takes a video recording the offense, respectively administrative tort.
